Our mission and team
See what inspires us, where we work, who we are, and how you can meet us. If you still have questions, just get in touch!
We strive to connect digital pathology, advancing scientific discovery for researchers and pathologists.

Our solutions bridge complex workflows to connect people with the data they need, when they need it. Looking forward, we hope to empower educators with adaptive teaching tools and drive standards for interoperability, spreading the benefits of digital pathology as far as we can.
Meet the problem solvers behind the solutions.

A diverse and dedicated group of pathologists, scientists, developers, engineers and communicators.
Dan Hosseinzadeh
CEO and Co-founder
Before co-founding Pathcore, Dan was a Research Engineer at the Sunnybrook Research Institute, where he developed the Sedeen viewer as part of an OICR project. Today, Sedeen is the standard for proprietary virtual slide viewing, and Dan is Pathcore’s CEO, leading the team on all fronts towards a connected digital pathology landscape.
Dr. Anne Martel
CSO and Co-founder
Anne is the co-founder and CSO of Pathcore, but that’s not the only hat she wears: she’s a Professor in Medical Biophysics at the University of Toronto and a Senior Scientist at the Sunnybrook Research Institute. Her research concerns Medical Image Analysis; in particular, the use of machine learning for MRIs and digital pathology.
Our office
We’re located in the heart of Toronto’s hub for healthcare and technology. Our office is located in Brookfield Place and a few short steps to Union Station.
